I had the same experience with a wonderbra. It took a year and a half after finally being diagnosed with dermatitis (7 types) and yes I was sure there were chemicals in that specific bra. It burned like acid and created sores that were along the area where the straps and back are. I had no idea this was so common.

this rash starts in the obvious places - BOTH BREASTS, then spreads all the way up to and as far as my neck (thank god not my face! i'd DIE) down my sides of torso belly and down as far as hips, legs and back!!!! :( :( :( ITS THE BRAS!?  i am convinced!!! - because of where the rash starts!!! I am VERY upset to know that VS does not care or take this seriously! the doctors dont even know what it is! - all they say is it must be a food allergy or an allergic reaction to some supplement or  medication or !? !? !? on and on - not once did a dr or dermatologist say it could be from CLOTHING or UNDERGARMENTS - they were clueless!!! (duh where the rash starts (boobs!) is the CLUE!!!) cause the rash was in such weird places on the body and SPREADS and gets scabby, my skin feels like sandpaper!!! - if i do not get the creme for the rash, then have to lotion up constantly with the rx creme and Sarna Sensitive lotion until it subsides - cannot even wear a bra during one of these rashy breakout episodes and soon as i put the bra back on it came back!!! thats how i KNOW its the damn bra!!! :( I certainly HOPE that a good lawyer will take this case against VS!!! since it seems they do not care about customer safety, which is really just irresponsible and scary just to make $$$ these bras r not cheap! we spend good $$$ on them - becasue they fit and do last a long time, until the underwire pops thru the material then I trash it, but will now be trashing them ALL - ugh and have 1 last NEW ONE i never even wore yet too!!! :( :( :( hope someone contacts me - definitely want to be in the lawsuit with all the rest who r suffering from this atrocious condition!!! ~atl 732-558-8764

I also have had an allergic reaction to these bras.  I am really POed because i am not getting any answers from Victorias Secret.  I am waiting for a supervisor to call me back after three days.  I obviously need medical attention as i am suffering from blisstered rashes under both my breast as well as itching and a headache.  My husband bought me several of these bras for Valentines Day and I can now see that this problem has been going on since 2008 - why the heck are they still selling these bras that are harming women.  I am reading some serious allegations of how these bras are manufactured and I need to know - what is what! So since I am unemployed and have no health insurance at this time - I am going to utilize my research abilities to find out what their deal is.
I think it is unacceptable of Victorias Secret to sweep this matter under the rug - I demand answers.

I also developed a rash while wearing VS bras. I'm wondering if any of you have experienced other health problems in addition to the rash. Shortly after the rash first appeared, I started getting irregular periods, and severe headaches. Has anyone here experienced something similar? Please let me know.

I also bought two VS bras back in June of this year. I dont wear bras very often, but when I did my back really itched. I didnt think much about it. One day I was in my local VS store and asked the manager if they had any complaints about itching. She said no and actually told me the bra I had on was discontinued in Jan of 08, impossible since I bought in June of 08! About 3 weeks later my mom was watching the special about VS bra's and so I called them directly. Interestingly enough they offered to send me a prepaid label to ship the bra's back. My question was how would I have proof! Four people I talked to said not to worry and they knew what I was sending. Then I got a call from  Senior claims adjuster - Deanna Williams, seemed so sweet at first and and even offered to send me $75 VS gift card for my troubles and assured me this was just a customer service gesture. Well, the gift cards arrived in a certified letter with a Release of all Claims for me to sign! For 75 bucks, are you kidding. I have spent more in prescriptions and dermatologist bills. I called Ms. WIlliams and she wasnt nearly as nice any more. I have since received two more letters from them telling me that my failure to preserve all relevant evidence or to provide them with the requested information (meaning the bras) prior to any inspection would be considered intentional spoliation of evidence. They are now telling me if I dont provide them with representaiton from an attorney w/in 20 days they will assume I do not want to pursue a claim. I would like to know if anyone has had luck retaining an attorney.

I just got off the phone with VS. I purchased 2 push up bras for Christmas and as soon as I put one on, started to itch. I took it off immediately and called VS today. They seemed so concerned and offered to send a return pre-paid label right away. Bells and whistles went off when a supervisor got on the phone and started asking me questions, so I started digging on the internet. Why is this still happening and the bras being sold if this has been going on since the summer? I just ordered my bras at the beginning of December. I keep thinking what if I had ordered them for my daughters and they had this problem. I can't find any info on who is handling the lawsuit so if someone would post the info I would be grateful. thank you in advance for any advise or help you can give.

I am in complete shock reading this forum right now, I was doing research on my itchy breast cause I can't take the itch no more and to my surprise there are others out there just like me. All my bras are VS and if this is my answer, thank you. I will go buy a new bra from a diffrent brand tommorow and hope that this will solve this itch. I too have gone to many doctors, bought several creams, changed my diet, detergant, etc. and nothing takes the itch away. I have been suffering from extreme itch, rash for over a year now. So how do we get on this VS lawsuit if it comes down to it? Thank you to everyone who has posted thier situation on here, I have hope now and maybe just maybe I don't have cancer.

i was just wondering the same-will anyone else see this and respond to my message?  WOW!   you got just about the same treatment i had gotten.  ive been having a skin reaction as well from the victoria secret bras.  ive had rashes, hives, itching, bleeding skin, warm to touch, burning skin.  ive been going nuts trying to figure out my issue.  was it food, detergent, soap, never in a million years would i have thougth it was my bras!  its been ongoing for about 4 years.  sounds nuts but i own 6 vs bras and i dont just wear 1 bra - they are rotated based on what i wear for that day!  the rash comes and goes and that would explain why because i have owned about 12 vs bras.  right now i only have 6.  i eventually had to stop wearing my vs bras and had  purchased 2 other brand name bras along with my 2 sports bras.  for more support and wouldn't you know it ive been rash free for 6 weeks now.  dont have to wear gold bond powder - NO itching at all!  its a relief and a coincidence.  my initial call to vs was on 11/26/08-since then vs has called ME 3 times with suggestions of "how are you laundering your clothes" to try our "cotton" vs bra "its lovely" and we want your bras for testing -we'll send a return label.  ive been offered a $100 gift card - i politely declined because ive been out a bunch of cash self treating myself with a horrible skin reaction!  ive also been told to go to my derm and have a patch test done to see if im allergic to the dyes and material they use in their bras.  what  a crock!  just yesterday i did get my return label to send the bras back to vs.  but once i return them WHERE IS MY PROOF that i actually purchased these bras?  did you by chance see the 19actionnews.com or the abc news alert on this topic?  youve got to see it.  i would love to see how to join the lawsuit.   i dont think wanting reimbursement for my bras + something to cover all the lotions, creams, benadryl, sprays, powders ive had to purchase to help my horrible condition all over a bra manufacturing PROBLEM!   im wondering just WHAT is vs hiding or whats happened to my body.
keep me posted on what you find out!

Hello.  I am so livid right now and don't even know if this message will reach someone but I had purchased TWO bras from Victoria Secrets and had some kind of reaction.  So, after reading about the class action lawsuit, I decided to call Victoria Secrets for a refund.  I am not interested in getting money I don't deserve so decided against getting involved in the lawsuit.  So, a couple of weeks ago, I spoke with a representative and then a supervisor and then another supervisor.  I explained that I got major itchy welts along the bottom half of my breasts and also across the upper part of my body, where the bra band lies.  The three times I wore each bra, the six inches in length welts would stay for three days.  I applied hydrocortisone during this period.  At that time, all the reps were very accommodating and they told me that a prepaid UPS envelope would arrive at which time I should return both bras for a refund.  While I was waiting, another supervisor called to ask if I'd ALSO be interested in a $100 gift certificate so I accepted.  Why not, right?  So, today I received my refund, about half of what I actually spent on the two bras.  I called Victoria Secret right away and no one could help me.  Actually, I felt like they were accusing me of lying about the gift certificate because they said that they don't give out a refund PLUS a gift certificate.  They transferred me to several different numbers and finally a rude supervisor called me back to say that they couldn't do anything when I told her that the refund was very inappropriate and even insulting.  She said she would look into it but because I couldn't remember the name of the rep I originally spoke to, she couldn't help me.  I am waiting for her to call back but we'll see.  I should have just joined the lawsuit instead of trying to be a good person.  Can anyone recommend something?

I haven't read the article yet, but Dr. Mercola just put out an article about Victoria Secret.  I know what kind of articles he writes, so I am confident in telling you that you'll want to check this out on mercola.com.  It came out with his latest newsletter, which also has an excellent article called "How Yeast Wreaks Havoc on Your Life and How to Address it" that I think you'll want to check out, too.

I have a whole range of allergies myself.  I haven't had any issues with these bras myself, but that's because I haven't bought any or worn any.  With all the publicity it's gotten, I definitely WON'T be buying anything from them either.  Not when I already have a lot of allergies.  I know there is something wrong with these things if so many people are talking about these awful miserable rashes from their bras.  I've been reading on this allergy forum that there is some other type of bra that is causing problems for women.  Yikes!  What's a woman to do, since we can't stop wearing bras altogether!

forgot to mention, i too thought maybe my bras weren't fitting right so i went to wearing my sports bra and poof - the rash slowly went away!  i have 2 push-ups that i wear on special night outs and 3 other vs bras.  so trying to pin WHAT was causing my rash was very sporatic.  id rotate bras and NEVER would think that it was the vs bras causing such havoc on my skin.  i would never wish that on anyone!  vs customer service called me just last night and said it could be that you are not washing your bras correctly and that it's soap build up!  what a crock!  i'm almost 40 years old - NEVER had an issue with an under the boob rash & in the armpit problem!  have you had anyone contact you?  let me know at ***@****    the more i think about this the more upset i get.  vs is for sure hiding something!

word is getting out thank god!  ive been having skin problems and thought it was just sensitive to detergent, soap, food.  ive been extremely careful to try and figure out what was wrong with me.  i was going nuts.  the itching was unstoppable and painful!  can not believe that this could be the answer.  ive been rash free ever since ive pulled all my vs bras out!  ive been called by 4 people at vs asking questions.  wonder what they are hiding.  i want to know how to join the class action lawsuit against vs.  any advice please email me at ***@****.  thanks a bunch!

I have experienced the exact same thing, and I thought it was just because my breasts had gotten larger due to a bit of weight gain. Itching, burning, peeling and a funky smell when I wore two of my VS bras. I still have them, I don't wear them anymore but it didn't occur to me that they were the cause of this.

How do I get in on this lawsuit? If anyone knows please email me at ***@****. Thanks!

I too wear VS bras and have had a horrible rash. The doctors (I went to three different ones) tested me for cancer. I had to quit breastfeeding my newborn baby as there were STITCHES IN MY NIPPLES and they ripped out while I tried to pump milk for her. This rash was horrible, I scratched till I bled, woke up in fits of rage, and basically lost my mind. If the VS bras are the culprit I want to see heads roll. BFing my baby was extremely important to me and not only have I seriously suffered due to my unexplained rash from hell, but so has my newborn baby. I have pictures, medical documentation, and the bras in question. I will not be posting my breast rash pics online so don't even ask. How do I jump on this class action?! Somebody help me, please.

Thank you all so much for pointing out this problem. I just saw the story on my local ABC affiliate news. About a year ago I started experiencing horrible rashes from my VS gel curve push up bra. I was horrified, I thought I had cancer or something else. I tried changing everything. I eventually stopped wearing my gel curve bra and sure enough that did the trick. I don't wear them anymore. I had three, so I was out about $150 total and I had to buy all new bras.

If anyone still has rashes, I recommend "gold bond medicated lotion." It cools and helps the rash on a short term basis, but definitely throw out those bras!

I was watching my local news today and they started talking about VS bras and people experiencing rashes and itching. I can't believe it.  For over a year I was to the dermatologist, gynocologist and family doctor trying to get help for the unbelieveable itching that I had on my breasts.  I was wearing a VS bra. I went through many topical creams, changed my diet, changed my detergent, even the doctors were baffled.  Over the summer I went to VS and got new bras.  The itching stopped within a month.  I never thought that it could be a chemical in the bra.  I am so angry.  Obviously, the new ones I have must not have the chemicals because I don't itch anymore.  I wonder what that chemical has done to my body?
