Hi, welcome to the forum, Human papillomaviruses (HPV) is most common organism responsible for cutaneous warts. This can be seen in condition wherein there is reduced cell mediated immunity and atopic dermatitis. Spontaneous reduction in warts can be possible usually within 2 years. IF not regressing then it may need treatment.

There are many modalities of treatment. One is by use of chemicals like Salicylic acid, Bichloroacetic acid, 5-Fluorouracil, Tretinoin, Imiquimod and Intralesional immunotherapy. But in these agents, immiquimod, which is a topical immunomodulator, is suitable for facial warts. Other agents are known to leave a scar. I suggest you to consult dermatologist for further management and treatment options. Take care and regards.
