Wasp sting won't heal and scab still there after 3 weeks?

3 weeks ago I was stung twice by a wasp. (firstly on my arm and then on my hand) Both sites became swollen and went down a bit later on. I had a large localised reaction (my arm - 70% of the skin turned red) and was told by a dermatologist that I probably was mildly allergic to wasp venom. Took some meds and it went away, before returning one week later. I put some cream (steroids prescribed by the aforementioned doctor) on it and 'the rash' went down.

However, the scab covering sting site on my arm remains up to this day and the skin surrounding it is reddened. It itches, but not really badly. Should I be worried or is it normal?
