Weird Rash

Last summer, when I went to an engagement party, I drank some wine. After that, I had a rash around the neck area. I didn't think anything of it and it went away after a few days. Then in October, I went to this party. I drank a lot but it wasn't hard liquor or anything. That night when I got home, I noticed my wrists had little red bumps. I thought maybe I was delusional because when I woke up the next morning it was gone. Then the following weeks, I started getting all these rashes, mostly on my wrists. It would start on one arm and then disappear after an hour or so and appear on the opposite hand. Then I started having it around my waists, head, back, feet, everywhere. Usually this occurred at night so during the day I couldn't show anyone. Finally, it got so bad and I showed my mom one night. I went to the Dr's. He said it was probably allergic to something. (I got new bedsheets too so I thought it could be that as well) He prescribed me Allegra and ointment. It worked. I didn't have the rash anymore as long as I took the medication. After that happened, I also started getting rash when I eat certain seafood. That was 5 months ago. Now I'm with my boyfriend. After we had sex, we both would get rashes. He'd get it on his chest, arms, and head. I'd get the same problem but it wasn't as worse as 5 months ago. I itch everyday now but it's not severe. Does anyone have an idea what this problem is??? Does it have to do with our blood? (When I was younger I took too much Iron vitamins and had my stomach pumped and now I have too much Iron in my blood.)

The fact that topical steroids worked proves that it is a skin allergy.  While the offending agent can be just about anything, since your boyfreind also contracted the rash it is likely something that it is allergenic to many people rather than something that you are particularly allergic to.

Possiblities include household cleaners, chemicals, pesticides etc.

Try over the counter diphenhydramine (benedryl) and see if that helps.
