a slight redding on the neck

a slight redding on the neck

I recently bought a Neutrogena cleanser.  I used it for a day or so and the next day my neck was red and I had a little rash and it was itchy.  I stoped using it about 4-5 days ago and I still have the redness on my neck.  I use Finacea for my face and also Benzac (clndamycin and benzoil peroxide).  I have been using it for 5 months now.   I also thought It could have been an allergic reaction to Aleve.  I had taken 2 tablets a day for 3 days before my period.  Could that also have caused it?  I take been taking synthroid for my thyroid for a year now so I rule that out.   Any advise.

Thanks

Hi,

It would be difficult to point out the exact cause in your case -whether it is related to the medictaions or not and to which specific medication.

Have you tried any oral antihistamine medications? Keep the area clean, wash it several times and apply calamine lotion to help soothe the lesion. Use a medicated sunscreen when you go out.

If the symptoms still persist, consult your doctor and get a proper clinical examination done. Also review with your doctor about the oether medications that you are taking and if any tests need to be done.

Keep us posted about any doubts that you might have and about how you are doing.

Hope this helps.

Regards.
