allergic to alcohol.?

For years i drank usually on the weekends with no problems other than the occasional hang over and in 2004 i stopped completely.. then in 2011 I started again on an occasional basis and I am noticing that every time I drink whether it be wine, dark liquor, or light, i get very "stuffy" and sometimes "wheezy" . Have i developed and allergy to alcohol..?

If you have any allergies at all alcohol will make the symptoms worse. You may not realize you have an underlying allergy( probably a food) and normally may not have any symptoms.
I would get wheezy drinking sometimes then realized it would happen when i also had shellfish. As time went on i realized i was allergic to the shellfish.
Alcohol will also make any kind of asthma worse,

That is VERY possible
Please be careful if you think you have an allergy to alcohol.
A dear friend of mine started off with slight symptoms when he drank...they progressed over time...he began to get very violent when drinking ( after only one drink!)...one night he simply stopped breathing after only having one swallow of beer.
As with ANY allergy, you never know when the severity may change.
