I have had constant itching for many years but it has worsened over the past 2yrs.
I have omitted fish, all dairy products and wheat from my diet but I still have a dog.
When the itching started years ago, I did not have a dog/cat but was in a stressful business. I assumed itching was caused by this stress.   I itch from head to the  soles of my feet.  I have been on Clarityn for 5 years (daily) and suffer particularily during the summer months, although in the winters, I itch when I am warm. I shower many times per day to ease my skin.  As a black person, I am not aware of any obvious rash but  I can feel raised lumps on parts of my body occasionally.  I also get a boil under my arm pits once in a while (is this connected).
2.  I have also had a total hysterectomy (20yrs ago) and I wonder if the 'ants crawling syndrome' is due to this also.  I feel as though there as ants in my bed and under my skin.  Can you imagine being married to me?

To: all itchy arm people
Hello, I have had extremely itchy fore arms (only the tops) for 2 months now. My steroid creme that in the past has relieved poison ivy, does nothing. I do have a thyroid issue and also have had back surgery (a disctectomy in my lower back). I mention this only because perhaps this itchiness is a nerve thing? The other strange thing is that I also have had an itchy left foot - bottom of my arch for the same past 2 to 3 months. I recently decided to get healthier and stopped eating processed sugar and refined carbs. I have lost 10 lbs. Who knows - maybe there's something to do with the diet?? Perhaps if everyone posts things about their lifestyle/ health (beyond the itch part) we might find a common link/ possible cause?
