allergy or sinus issue

by Pamaco, May 19, 2007 12:00AM
I have suffered from this condition for years, my nose continually sweats, the beads causing all makeup, etc, to disappear, causing a red, wet nose.  I haven't been tested for allergies, no insurance, but wondered if it is likely an allergy to airbourne substance, chemicals contained in soaps/cosmetics, or a more serious issue with circulation?  This occurs whether it is hot, cold, humid, dry etc., but my nose is always very cold and wet to the touch.  Embarrassing!!!!!  Wen I was a teen (I am now 54) I overexposed my face to an old fashioned sunlamp, hoping to get a healthy glow for homecoming!  The skin on my nose blistered badly, peeled for weeks.....perhaps this caused some damage.  Any feedback would be greatly appreciated!

This is one I've only heard of in dogs... I can't imagine why your nose is so sensitive?  It may be worth your while to see a dermatologist...You have pores in your nose (but, you do all over your face/body)  Sounds like maybe something didn't develop properly when you were born? I'm surprised you have lived with it for so long!
