Hello and hope you are doing well.

Normally, in cases where allergies are present, you will experience: hives ( raised red blotches, itchy or painful ) swelling of the tongue/ lips/ throat, dizziness, and many other symptoms.
The swelling could be due to angioedema. This is swelling of the deeper layers of the skin due to an allergic reaction. The reaction occurs more commonly on the face around the lips and near the eyes. Therapy lies in identifying the allergens and avoiding them and antihistamines. An allergy specialist can help identify the allergens and desensitize you.

Hope this helped and do keep us posted.

Hey hiilbillyprincess.
Welcome to the forum!

Possibly environmental as margypops mentioned.
Mold is  suspect, specially when humidity is present
in closed unventilated areas. Check for any signs of mold
around windows, ceilings, attic and places where water
would enter. Should you suspect this, then calling a mold specialist
would be wise. Mycotoxins can wreak havoc in our bodies!
Avoid heat and hot water and run any cosmetic products, creams and soaps through the cosmetics database website for ingredient safety first,
before using. And use cautiously, even after screening!
Other possibilities include a low grade infection, that your body is fighting
or a delayed allergy developed over some time ago and only expressed
at the onset of your symptoms ( "rain barrel effect"- the immune system does not react till a certain threshold is reached).
You can do on your own Dr. Coca's "Pulse Test" for anything ingested,
for reactivity. It is a free download  ( public domain)

Have you seen a dermatologist?
Personally I would consult a Naturopathic Doctor, with experience
in this area.

Check also my 2nd response -regarding hydrocortisone- recently to:
"Any Suggestions on Minimizing/Curing Eczema"

Hope you find the answer soon.
Take care!
