can candida and asthma be related

I am experiencing severe breathing problems with what appears to be asthma attacks. I am presently using Advair 2x day and an albuterol sulfate inhaler several times daily. I have believe I also have thrush. This has been going on for since October of 2007. Besides the inhalers my Dr. treated me for thrush a couple of months ago. He has referred me to a Pulminologist who has had me do breathing tests and a CT scan. I go in soon for the results.
I have been diagnosised in the past with intestinal candida and was treated with hydrogen perioxide(30 years ago) as archaic as it sounds it did relieve my symptoms. Interestingly I never experienced vaginal infections.

Hi,

You could be having the oral thrush or candida infection due to the steroid inhaler medications too. You should rinse your mouth or do a mouthwash regularly afer you use a steroid inhaler. This would help with your symptoms.

Also, use candida mouth paint for some time and see if it helps.

It would be good to consult a chest specialist or pulmonologist too, for your symptoms.

Do you use a spacer device when using your inhaler medications?

Let us know about how you are doing and if you have any other queries.

Hope this helps.

Regards.

Yes, they can be related.  But it may not be.  You don't have to experience vaginal infections to have candida in the intestines.  There are anti-fungals (natural and prescription) and that combined with a proper diet (no sugar and yeast products) and good probiotics can help eliminate the candida.  I have never heard of hydrogen peroxide being used to cure candida, but we have come a long way since then.

Hi,

How are you doing now? Have you been to see a specialsit as yet? What has the doctor advised? Were any tests ordered?

Has the spacer device and mouth wash helped with your symptoms?

Keep us posted.

Regards.
