Jenny - never mess with breathing always go straight to your dr.  Things can turn on a dime, I've had pneumonia and allergies and waiting is never a good idea. You need to take care of yourself. Pain is your body's way of telling you something is wrong, at 28 breathing should never hurt. Please see your Dr. Hope to hear back that you have an appt. - Sandi

If it is heavy like an elephant is on your chest, you need to go to the ER asap.  I would see your MD, if it is only when you breath it could be a number of things, no fever, no congestion, the I would say it is pleurisy, it can be treated with anti-inflammatory meds. Good luck and may GOD Bless.

Hey Jenny.

It's no fun feeling this way.But it will get better.

In a previous life - it almost feels that way-I used to get bad colds, the flu, ear infections, name it. On top of that I had severe psycho-somatic pains, allergies, sinuses.
Well, I really got fed up. Not one single time did anything get resolved by  medicine.
The symptoms would diminish a bit and than would start all over again.
I had better results when I couldn't see the doctor and would have
home made chicken soup, instead of antibiotics.
So, I made a decision at the time, and that changed my life. Yes, you guessed it.
I took health matters into my own hands.
And assumed  complete responsibility for my own health. It took some time, though.
This has been god sent. No more suffering, no pains. no more meds.
It's not for everybody.
It takes years of studying and research, to reach a level of
"health wisdom" to be applied in ones life ,
that seems to be totally disappearing  from our society.
And I'm not suggesting you should fire your Doctor,
or quit your medications, by any means!

A weakened immune system, chronic inflammation, frequent infections,
nutritional deficiencies, gut dysbiosis, all lead to more and more of the same.
It's a vicious cycle!

Some suggestions for immediate relief:
1. MgCl (magnesium chloride). You may be deficient in this extremely important
element. Don't take my word for it. Please do research it.
Correct Delivery is crucial. Orally may cause loose stools and not absorb well.
Transdermal is the best way. 2-3 cups of MgCl flakes in a bath 30 minutes every other day, should suffice. Check at your health food store.
2. D3. Supplementation of D3 up to 5000 is recommended and safe. Liquid drops are better. Check it out.
Low stores of D3 and MgCl are associated with higher incidence of colds and flu.
And longer lasting as well.
3. Zinc supplements have shown in clinical studies that they reduce the incidence of
colds also. take zinc with copper (2mg), as zinc blocks copper from being absorbed.
4. Chicken soup with lemon juice, garlic, ginger and hot curry will do wonders!
5. Natural Vitamin C with bioflavonoids. 2x1000mg daily. If you a sensitive stomach then buffer with  a little baking soda.

My overall suggestion is to look at the big health picture. learn as much as you can about how your body works, what medicine does for you and to you. Seek natural, fundamental
ways to take care of yourself. Be pro-active and ask many questions.
And should your doctor prescribe antibiotics, remember that there's a degree of damage
to your healthy flora*- antibiotics by definition will do that- please consider to take prebiotics and probiotics, the best quality you can afford. Not the typical ones sold at the pharmacy. Waste of money in my opinion.

* 70-80% of your immune system lies within your gut.
Please do your own research or check with your health care professional, before making any decisions, regarding your health.
Should you have any questions, or to give update, please post again.
Blessings
