chronic sinusitis/allergic rhinitis/hashimoto

Good morning everyone.  I need your help/advice.  I have chronic sinusitis and allergic rhinitis.  My chronic sinusitis I have had for many years now, to a point that I have had to have surgery almost every 3 years.  And sure enough this is my 3rd year, and I am scheduled for surgry on the 25th.  My ENT had sent me to a allergist last month and that's how I got dx with allergic rhinitis.  My allergic rhinitis is what seems to be triggering my sinus problems.  The allergist has recommanded immunotherapy as a treatment - but he did state that due to my hashimoto problem the results may be suboptimal.  Has anyone with Hashimoto has had this immunotherapy treatment before??? Any complications or benefits from this treatment???

Your doctor is right in saying that taking allergy shots when you are having hashimoto’s disease(which is an autoimmune disease);the results will be suboptimal.It has been stated that those with impaired immune systems, autoimmune diseases, or AIDS, should not undergo immunotherapy. Allergy shots in these patients can spur the creation of immunoglobulin g (IgG) antibodies, leading to the creation of antigen-antibody complexes.   Quercetin with Bromelain enzyme is great for relieving sinus problems. I use it for any inflammation. I take six capsules a day when my sinuses are acting up. This usually takes care of it.
