coughing and phlegm

coughing and phlegm

I'm having constant, on-going, problems with what I guess is sinus infection.  It sort of comes and goes.  I cough fairly regularly producing phlegm - one morning it can be green and thick and my chest feels congested and the next it's more white phlegm and I feel more normal.  What's up?  In the past I would get a sinus infection, take my antibiotics and it clears.  I have avoided the treatment but maybe I should do it anyway as a precaution.  Is that wise?

Hi

The infection will go away with antibiotics but will recur once the antibiotics are over.
You definitely need to show yourself to a chest physician considering the amount of phlegm you are producing..get a chest Xray done..

Also. you will feel better with steam inhalation..try doing it before sleeping in the night..
