Hi,
Well the type of allergy shot varies and in your case its not clear which type it is.
If a doctor has prescribed it, you may enquire and find out what in your allergy shot for cockroach.
You may also enquire if you need to take it for a long period of time or does it depend on your immune status.
Best regards
HI,
THANK YOU FOR YOUR HELP, I GET ALLERGY SHOTS EVERY WEEK FOR
DUST MITES, CROACHROACHES AND MOLD. I DON'T HAVE CROACHROACHES,
BUT I DO HAVE ASTHMA. SO I GUESS I PROBABLY COULD HAVE A ALLERGY
ATTACK AROUND CROACHROACHES. IF I WASN'T GETTING THE ALLERGY
SHOT.
THANK YOU,
GREENVILLE PA.
Hi,
You are talking about immunotherapy?
If you are specifically found allergic to or having a hypersensitivity to the allergen or antigen of 'cockroach' - a solution with the antigen in many times dilution would be prepared and is given on a monthly basis or at fixed periodic intervals and the dilution decreased gradually - so that you are desensitized or are not allergic to it any longer.
Let us know if that helps.
You could post us if you have any other queries.
Regards.
