deltoid atrophy

deltoid atrophy

Hi! In July i had bronchitis and went to a medwell clinic for treatment. This is a step down from the ED. The doctor told me i would need a breathing treatment because i had some fluid in my lungs. The MA came in to give me the treatment but first said i needed a IM injection. When i asked what it was she was unsure. She said it was something to help with the breathing treatment. It was in fact a steriod. She went to give me the injection and missed and preceded to pull the needle out and stick it again. I was very sick and not paying very close attention. MY HUGE MISTAKE. She gave me injection in my left deltoid. A few days later my injection site was swollen and sore. The swelling went away but then the injection site became discolored and sunken in. The atrophy has gotten noticeably worse. I have a doctor's appointment on 12/9. But i'm just wondering if there is anything i can do and if there is way to prevent this from getting worse. I'm getting very concerned about this. Please help!!

Did you immediately file a complaint with the Medwell Clinic?  Did you go back there again?  What exactly did they inject you with?  There are IM injections specific for breathing related issues, so clarify this information.

When you say atrophy?  Your muscle is actually non-functioning and whithering?
