faint

well i have been diagnois as having hyperthyroidism since 2001 and have sinus and allergies...lately I been fainting...well if I come up from on my knees to wipping floors to a standing position i begin to feel faint numb and tingly all over my body...I have passed out ... [More] from the same thing before its like i can feel this sensation come over me and I pass out for a short will and when I awake its a sizzling sound in my ear...woundering what this possibly be...brought attention to dr somehow she thinks its my due to my allergies??? could this be

maybe it could be allergies but to me is sounds like your blood pressure is dropping when you stand. I am not sure what that's called but you may want to ask your doctor if that is a possibility and what might explain what the other possibilities are.

Hi, welcome to the forum, There are many possibilities of fainting like dehydration, anemia, low blood pressure- allergy can cause this, hypoglycemia, motion sickness etc. Some time there may be a history of vertigo or some neurological problem. Blow to vestibular apparatus or vestibular neuritis which may be responsible for ringing sound in ear. Due to this you may be having episode of vertigo associated with dizziness. This vertigo gets worse especially when you move your head.

You may have to undergo routine blood tests, blood sugar, BP monitoring, brain MRI to rule out any pathology.

Meantime drinking lot of water and fruit juice, relaxation, fresh air will help you. I suggest you to consult physician for further evaluation. Take care and regards.
