flacky and dry skin in my face is it fungus ?

I have been having some very dry areas around my month and little bit in the top of my nose the skin is flaky and very, very dry and itchs little bit  i pull the dead skin  off w/ a pincher but the flaky comes right back .......It's very dry and irritating me so much don't know what to do :( what can I do what can I put  on so my skin be normal ? Please help
I remember about 5 year a go I was in my country Brazil and I had something similar I went to the doctor in there  and she told me that was a fungus that comes from =cheese or strawberry=  she gave me some kind of cream and it went a way ...... ? Could this be the same thing ?Don't know, don't know, don't know, please someone help me ?????? :( :( :( :(

It would be very difficult to say anything without having a look at the lesions. You should consult an allergy specialist or your physician and get a proper clinical evaluation got done.

It could be a skin infection - bacterial or fungal and also an allergic reaction to some unknown substance.

Have you had allergic reactions in the past? Are you allergic to any specific substances?

It would help to talk to your specialist about this and decide about any investigations that need to done and the further treatment plan.

Till then, you should keep the area clean and wash your face several times with fresh water. Drink plenty of water to maintain adequate hydration and also use a medicated sunscreen when you go out. Use a good moisturizer  or calamine lotion.
