fowl smelling syndrome

I have persistant fowl smell from my mouth due to thick mucous which drips from my back of throat. I have taken several treatments. used many mouthwashes and irrigating fluids, but there are no results. I dont know what is the reason and cant diagnose whts the problem. please suggest me some good medicines for the same. i have no dental problem.
please help me

What you have is a post nasal drip. Well, since the post nasal drip persists in your case you must think in lines of allergy. What is important is you must find out what is causing this allergy. Common allergens are pollen, mold, dust, pet dander, cosmetics or drugs. You must get an allergy test done, either a skin test or by RAST, to know what you are allergic to. Seasonal allergies are generally due to pollen or dust. Any cosmetic you apply on face or eye or even for your hair like shampoos or dyes too can cause allergies.
The other possibility is that you have a foreign body in nose, deviated nasal septum. This makes a person prone to repeated infections and allergy like symptoms.
Another possibility is laryngopharyngeal reflux. This throws the stomach content into the throat without heartburn.
Please consult an ENT specialist for proper treatment of this post nasal drip. Treating this will take care of the foul smell too.
