fuzzy head

I am fructose/lactose intolerant. have been suffering with a 'fuzzy' head for 3 years. Have been told it may be amine related. I also have a coated tongue which I scrape off every few days along with a red groin area. I have been on a low fructose/lactose diet for about 8 months. The fuzzy head is the worst and would appreciate any feedback as to how to get rid of it.

Thanks,

Steven

Hi there,

After another year I am still having fuzzy head issues. I have seen a neurologist and he has tested me for BPPV which was negative. I was also seeing an immunologist and he has tested me for several pathogens which all came back negative. The only possibility is a yeast issue which as I understand yeast give off mycotoxins which can effect the brain. I went on Diflucan and it did seem to help but not completely. From what I have read yeast is very difficult to get back under control. (I had 10 doses on antibiotics 3 years running for throat infections). I am going to try Diflucan again.

Have you had any success in getting rid of the fuzziness?

MEDICAL PROFESSIONAL
Hi, welcome to the forum, there are many possibilities of fuzzy head like dehydration, anemia, low blood pressure, hypoglycemia, motion sickness etc. Some time there may be a history of vertigo or some neurological problem. Blow to vestibular apparatus or vestibular neuritis which may be responsible disequilibrium or imbalance. This vertigo gets worse especially when you move your head. If you are having food allergy, it can be associated with low blood pressure leading to dizziness.

You may have to undergo routine blood tests, blood sugar, BP monitoring, brain MRI to rule out any pathology.

Meantime drinking lot of water and fruit juice, relaxation, fresh air will help you. I suggest you to consult physician for further evaluation. Take care and regards.
