My husband had a heart attrack in Dec. He has a steint. He believes he quit breathing for a short amount of time He says now he has trouble with some of his short memory Plus some of his long term memory I was wondering if this is a system of what happens when you have a heart attrack.

Did you mean symptom  instead of system?
A. Depression is a common post-heart attack "symptom". That could cause memory fogginess and or loss.
No relation to the the breathing "pause".
B.  Stroke would cause memory  loss and could be connected to the stopped breathing .
C. Pericarditis. It is more prevalent after heart surgery. One of the possible symptoms
of this  is memory loss.
Could be other possibilities as well.
You should contact the cardiologist and report this a.s.a.p.!
