little blister bumps

by concernedmadre, Nov 02, 2009 11:12PM
Hello I am the mother of two children both have been very healthy, until the beginning of this year. They both seem to have these little blister bumps on their bodies that will not go away. My youngest has them on his face and my oldest had only three of them around his right nipple. I took them to their doctor who said they were a type of contagious wort and proceeded to freeze them off. But now only a few months ago they started to come back in the same place on my youngest and on the underside of my oldest arm and side. My youngest sons seems to be somewhat fading but my oldest is now getting red and irritated. I thought them to be pimples and tried to pop one, (probably not a good idea), out of curiosity and some thick white stuff came out but nothing else.  As I was giving him a bath today I noticed more of them are getting the same irratation, and a skin hive. Occasionally the oldest,( whom this is happening to), will say they itch. I have bought some 1% hydrocortisone cream with aloe for them and that does not seem to do much. It is stopping the itch though. I have also changed my detergent, shampoo and soap. I also send all my clothes through a second rinse. Can anyone please help me figure this out or at least give me some advice?

To: concernedmadre,
Hi
Welcome to the forum!
Since the blisters are present on both the kids, is red, irritating and itch at times, either they are due to herpes or due to scabies. Also the fact that one gets the other one’s it fades and vice versa goes more in favor of scabies. It is important to consult a skin specialist and get a proper diagnosis.
Hope this helps. Please let me know if there is any thing else and do keep me posted. Take care!
