lumps in the back of head

My 8 year old son found to lumps in the back of his head they are movable. He said they are a little painful. He was diagnoised with chronic sinusitis. Could these lumps be coming from a sinis infection?

Hi
Thanks for writing to the forum!
Lumps in that area could be a localized collection of fat, a swollen lymph node, an abscess, folliculitis (hair follicle infection) or a neurofibroma (localized harmless swelling in a nerve). In your son’s case they could be related to sinusitis, especially temporal one.
I think you should discuss this with your doctor and get your son examined.
Please let me know if there is any thing else and do keep me posted. Take care!

Could be lymph nodes, if he has had an infection that is probably why , they do get larger when there is an infection, you could ask the Doctor but I dont think it is anything to concern about.
