medications

i am usually very weary of taking any kind of new medication or one that has not been taken for some amount of time. I recently got the flu, the worst with the weakness is over, but have a terrible cough still , (it is a loose cough thank god) , just cant seem to do anything without having a coughing fit. I got some benylin DM - E, think i may have took many years ago, but cannot remember.Just wondering if anyone has had or heard of anyone having any major allergic reactions to this drug. That being said how long does it take before someone will see signs of have a major reaction like anaphylaxis, or does the drug have to be taken for sometime.

thanks

Hi and welcome to the forum.

Everyone reacts differently to medications, depending their state of health at the time and
their immune system. Allergic reactions may be immediate or delayed, with varying degrees of severity and duration. Previous history is the "rule of thumb' indicator.
Personally I take no meds at all- for anything. My preventive regiment is quite effective.
For your condition, since you're concerned with possible side effects, please message me directly or post at the Alternative Therapies,
and I can suggest to you a natural protocol with no side effects.
Here is not the appropriate venue for it.
Take care and Blessings,
Nikodicreta
