Hi there,

Both my children were born with Eczema. My oldest has (for the most part) outgrown it. However, my youngest has is pretty bad. We took her to a Dermatologist/Allergist and they ran test and it came back she was allergic to things I never though she could be allergic too. ALL Dairy products, beef, gluten, some fruits, wheat and the list goes on. So my advice to you is, get your wee-one tested to what things aggravate her poor skin. Thats the only way of stopping it.

Best of luck with it =).

MEDICAL PROFESSIONAL
Hi
Welcome to the forum!
Eczema is a wide term which encompasses a wide variety of conditions like atopic dermatitis (runs in families), contact dermatitis (reaction to something one comes in contact with like a soap, lotion, cloth, detergent etc), xerotic eczema (due to very dry skin), discoid eczema (worse in winters), dyshidrosis (worse in summers), venous eczema etc.
For successful treatment the identification of cause is a must. Combined approach of an allergy specialist and a skin specialist will help to treat the condition.
Hope this helps. Please let me know if there is any thing else and do keep me posted. Take care!

You need to find which allergen cause the eczema.  And than select appropriate treatment.
What medication do you use now?
