mysterious bites?

i have these itchy bites on the side of my body. there itchy and they kind of look like pimples. My mum has them on her tummy and her back! i dont think its hives. but it might be a insect. but i am really desperate because i have a dancing estedford in a few days and my costume is pretty slim so anny  ideas would be great!!!

These bite like itchy lesions on the trunk can be due to insect bites, hives, heat rash, scabies bites or shingles if they are itchy and painful and on sides of trunk then shingles needs to be ruled out. Take some oral antihistaminic like Benadryl or Claritin for the itching and apply some calamine lotion on the rash. If the symptoms are worse then get scabies ruled out. Treatment for scabies is specific.
