possible systemic reaction

My daughter is in the hospital as of now in Ireland and diagnosed with a colon infection.  I not sure about this diagnosis since she has a normal temperature.  When talking with my daughter she mentioned that 5 days before she had a reaction to her allergy shot injection.  She became dizzy and lightheaded, increased BP and pulse.  She began wheezing and needed a nebulizer.  This happened about 20 minutes after the shot.  She also said she felt nauseous.  Later that night she began having intestinal cramping and diarrhea. She thought it was the flu and decided to still go on her trip to Ireland a few days later.  Luckily her dad is with her because he had to rush her to the ER when she landed.  I talked with her allergist and my medical doctor but they both seemed to think it was very far fetched this was caused by the allergy injections.  I'm very suspicious.

The abdominal pain and diarrhea that your daughter is having seems unrelated to the allergy shots allergy.What your daughter experienced after allergy shots was an anaphylactic reaction and she must have been given prompt treatment for that. Anaphylaxis happens after being exposed to a triggering agent.  The agent leads to the release of normal body chemicals such as histamine that cause allergy symptoms.

As you have said that the abdominal symptoms appeared after your daughter went to Ireland after some days of anaphylaxis,so it cannot persist for so long as it happens very quickly and is an emergency.In my opinion,the symptoms of colon infection are unrelated to the allergy shots and due to some infective agent.Pls don’t worry as this colon infection is treatable with antibiotics.
