post jelly fish sting

hi nearly 4 weeks ago i was stung by a jellyfish in st lucia. i didnt see the jellyfish so dont know exactly what it was, although i have been noticing some man-o-wars washing up sometimes on the beach.
i have been stung before but havnt reacted badly besides some itching and swelling, this time has been a different story.
after coming in from kite surfing i noticed a bit of discomfort coming from my wrist although there was no sign of swelling or markings so thought i must have pulled it or something. the next morning it had swollen up and 2 red lines had appeared on the skin on the top of the wrist, latter in the day the lines became risen then formed small clear-ish white heads.the next morning the swelling had moved into my palm in the thumb muscle and was huge and painfully itchy so i  went to the doctor and they started treating me on antibiotics ,anti inflammatories , antihistamines and pain killers, so took these until i had finished my coarse and the hand had gone down to normal size but still had a deep itchy pain in my palm. the day after finishing this coarse i awoke to my whole hand and inside wrist swallen to almost 2 and a half times larger then normal and the skin was stretched very tightly, i couldnt make a fist and my index and middle finger had minimal movement, so it was back to the hospital where i was given a shot of strong antibiotics and another week meds then the same happened but this time it swelled in my elbow, it was huge and painfull so back to the hospital for another 1 weeks meds. the arm and hand went down and all feels fine except sometimes i wake up to find either the inside of my wrist, my palm (bottom of thumb) or the side of my hand  (below the pinky) swallen and itchy, also if i use the hand ie lifting a bag it usually gets very tight then swells on the inside of the wrist.
the arm went down and the pain then went and the lines turned to scars but if i use my hand it always swells uncomfortably on the inside of my wrist.
im still in st lucia and am concerned about my hand and if someone has a second opinion it would be greatfully received
cheers
