Do you have a delayed reaction with the Sweet and Low.  My head does not seem to swell up when the color is on, it seems to be a several days later when I wash it.  I wonder if washing with Sweet and low will help.  I also have gotten skin rash where the color runs down the skin in the shower. Skin itches and breaks out in rash.

If you want to find something natural to try, go to http://pioneerthinking.com

I know the potato water works fairly well on dark hair but you have to do it pretty regularly. It also depends on how much grey you have to cover.

Try Henna Natural hair dye.
Just do a search to find out if that would be a suitable option.

Thanks, but it really doesn't help the allergic reaction, does it?  I think I read somewhere that it just masks the reaction, but your body is still going to feel the effects.

Any solutions as to what to use as a dye?

Hi and welcome to the forum.

Sweet and low consists of Sodium Cyclamate (in Canada) or Saccharin (U.S.A.), Potassium bitartrate (cream of tartar) and dextrose.
Potassium bitartrate acts a PH buffer, lessening the acidic (stinging) effect of the dye.
Hope this helps.
