Hey meg7778.

I forgot to mention that "Reaction Block" is made in the U.K.
and  is totally hypoallergenic.

Nail polishes are made from phthalates, solvents and formaldehydes.

Some are also made contain fragrances, synthetic preservatives and dyes.
All those chemicals!
For some people with allergies there are greater chances for an allergic reaction.

Also explore the possibility that you are reacting to the material and not the metal.
Just a thought.

Blessings to all,

MEDICAL PROFESSIONAL
Hello,
It could be because of an allergic reaction to the metal that you are showing these skin symptoms. To confirm the diagnosis you need to get it examined from an allergist. Till that time, try coating the metal clip with a clear nail polish. You can take some OTC oral antihistamine medications like Benadryl or Claritin and see if it helps. If the symptoms persist then steroids may be needed.

It is very difficult to precisely confirm a diagnosis without examination and investigations and the answer is based on the medical information provided. For exact diagnosis, you are requested to consult your doctor. I sincerely hope that helps. Take care and please do keep me posted on how you are doing.

"Reaction Block" to coat the clip. Let it dry and repeat.
As long as the allergy is not severe this should suffice.

Hope this helps
