Also go into your search engine and put in Urticaria or Hives, they are a few kinds out there, they will let you know any new ideas and treatments .

MEDICAL PROFESSIONAL
Hello,

How are you?

The causes of itchy red shin include diabetes, graves disease (pretibial myxedema) and ring worms along with many other causes.

http://www.wrongdiagnosis.com/symptoms/leg_rash/causes.htm

Is the itchy red rash only on the shin or they are present on other parts of the body as well? If the itchy red shin is due to pretibial myxedema then various other features like
protrusion of eyes, difficulty in closing eyelids, dry pale skin, heat intolerance, weight loss, increased appetite and thinning of hair are present.

In ring worm disease, ring-like raised itchy patches and blisters and scabs are present

Pls get your blood sugar and your thyroid profile checked. An appointment with a dermatologist/endocrinologist will also help.

Regards and pls do keep us posted.
