recurent sinus infections

by susan3040, Jan 13, 2008 08:57PM
Hello,Would like to know if anyone else seems to have as much problems with sinuses.I Started having sinus problems about 2 yrs agos, after many Rx and otc meds with little success ,I had a CT scan which showed pylops and blockages in sinuses . I had sinus surgery in 2006, which seem to help but all symtoms came back and had sinus surgery in july 2007 and now after repeated antibotics and allergy shots and steroids and otc and prescriptions for meds. I am back in the same situation. Is there something else we should look into. I sound horse and nasal congestion all the time ,eyes water just feel bad. thanks

I had the same problem and also had sinus surgery in 2002 (septoplasty). However, often I would still continue to get sinus infections. With the help of alternative medication practitioners, I discovered two products that have always been successful at getting rid of my sinus infection. The first product is J's Nose Drops (you can purchase online) and the other product is a Chinese herbal medicine called "Bi Yan Pian". If you try the Bi Yan Pian, I would recommend buying a brand that is made in America.

Good luck !

Hi,

Chronic sinus infections that may be aggravated by nasal polyps may not respond well with antibiotics. Most of these are recurrent and 2-3 courses of antibiotics may be needed to provide some relief.

Was an allergic component ruled out?
Have you any assessment for possible allergies?
Any skin tests done?

What type of sinus surgery was done?

Keep us posted.

I wish I could answer that question myself. I am tired of feeling like this everyday.
