sinus infection that won't go away

I have allergies so I am prone to sinus infection( I have been on alergy (allergy) shots for 4 years. Allergies are not bad, but still get sinus infections). My allergist tells me to take Augmetum for this. I go to one of those walk in doctors when I need this since I don't need an appointment. Been on it for a month. Pretty much went away, then went off it a few days and its back. I have pain in my jaw and around my eye on top of a cough from a nasal drip. This can't be allergies do to the sinus pain and I don't get allergies this time of year. I got on antibiotics with in 24 hours of feeling of symptoms. When I do this it goes away faster.

Augmentum does not appear to be working. What else should I try? If I go to my allergist she will want a sinus x-ray and then an appointment. All this takes a week before I get a prescription. The walk in guy is not an expert in this, so what do people think I should ask him for? Yeah I know being on anti-biotics for this long is not good, but if I don't Ill have this damn thing for months.

I use saline spray 2-3 times/day and I use Verymyst. I get 1-2 sinus infections/year. Augmentum usually does the trick.
