It seems that all the doctors only know of contact dermatitis, which is different in that it is a reaction to a spilled chemical on the skin.  But Allergic contact dermatitis is a delayed allergic reaction to an allergen, and seems to be kept a secret so people will not know that people are becoming allergic to synthetics at an alarming rate. Just like food allergens has skyrocketed with children in schools?  Sorta reminds me of one other illness that no skin doctors ever mention, and has barely anything online about it. And that is a condition called nervous dermatitis. Going to tons of sites about skin conditions and they are all listed except that. But once I had the name of it, I searched and found only a few pages on it. And it didn't say much. Just a condition where nerves cause the skin to erupt with lesions.  I just figured out why no doctors never diagnose it!  It must be because of that. If they were to have a poster on here saying, "I have lesions all over me" then the word lesions may lead them to say you have ND. You see, they go by the key words. And the problem here is that. The definition of nervous dermatitis needs to be changed! Because there are only lesions, after it gets so bad that it splits. But before it gets that bad, it can be just like eczema. and a couple other skin conditions. And many times can be very dry, itchy, and inflamed for months and even years before it erupts into lesions. And even then it will look like a very severe eczema to most doctors. Seeing they been told wrong. And they saw pictures of ACD and was told that was eczema. So when they hear of allergic CD of course they think it is eczema. That is what they were taught. But wait. This condition NS for short, looks exactly like "Allergic contact dermatitis" And both cases the skin is splitting because of the nerves are causing this to happen. So here we have two different conditions, that both look the same, and both are from nerves "ACD for short being nerves uptight from allergens" but none they less nerves causing it too, that are the best kept secrets in medicine. And I think they are both the same thing. I think that NS is actually ACD. Either way I have it.
Now my dad had it and after I found out of my allergens "inherited from him" and avoided contact with these allergens, I told him, look at my skin now dad. And every time I took polyester "that being the most extreme reactor" I look just like I did before. Just like yours dad! And now I have nothing. Dad, you have ACD. But seeing the doctors never told him that "the big secret" he didn't want to listen to me. I tried and tried but he would get so mad at me, and tell me to just shut the hell up. One day he bought a new chair and foot rest that rocked with the chair because he needed to keep his legs elevated. And couldn't sleep in a bed, for having such a huge very firm belly, that it would end up pushing up towards his lungs and he couldn't breath well. And had to sleep sittin in a chair. Anyways he died in it. Because it was 100% polyester.100% polyester makes your heart race when bad, and anxiety is crazy. And he was breaking out all over with the red bumps. He never split because he had oily skin. Which is also why he never got diagnosed right. No lesions. He didn't even get dry. You know how some people have those harmless red tiny dots behind the upper arm "trycep" and many times all over the upper leg? Just little dots that they always had so they ignore for it never been a problem? That was him. Until he got that chair. When there's no reaction to the skin, it gets ignored. But what it still does to you is keep you uptight most of the time. anxiety, lose you tempe easy.miserable inside. And is why people with  bad eczema are like that. Because they really have ACD. Anyways, his heart rate and blood pressure could not be helped. He had no patience for anything. And it makes you stubborn over time if you ask me. Anyhow, he broke out all over, except his face. And when it gets bad like that, you get blisters and swelling, and its on the private parts and gets slimy, and sweaty etc... Looks like a rash, so no one knows. A rash and the scrotum feels numb, shrunken, and sometimes stays very red. And itches like mad. But back to the story. I tried to tell him it was the chair and he was allergic to it! And being so short fused by all his misery with ACD, he told me to shut the hill up, I am not a doctor! I said then how come I am better and you are not, already to him so. Then he said in anger, get the hill out of here and don't come back. I cried when I left. Thinking I can't help him, and he had had a few strokes already from this.
Anyways, a couple weeks later I get a call from his woman, and she says "you father is not good" I said why. She said he has broken out worse and even all over his face, and eyes. And he is going crazy. I asked her to ask him if I could come see him. She asked and I heard him yell nooooo. Fathers day came right after. That morning my friend was asked to come tell me about he died. He wouldn't listen to me about this ACD. And no one does.
My son has it and won't. Lives in another State but I tell him all I can, and still nothing. Same with my daughter! But it isn't too bad for them yet. Wait till they get older and the body chemistry and immune changes. They will.
because they also have dry skin "eczema maybe" Like me.
my point here is that the ACD makes a person very closed in and stubborn. It has mental effects which make one be irritated quick, and before you can talk sense into them they are done listening to you. They get angry when you tell them what to do, or that you know more about something than they do because people hate that anyways, and add ACD to the mix and there is no telling them they have ACD, for they won't listen. The nerves uptight from ACD cause high blood pressure and diabetes when you age. And no one sees this. And so my dad died needlessly! And now I finally found pictures of ACD that might have conviced him I am right, for even though I am not a doctor. The doctors are the ones that said that was ACD and thus it is a doctors opinion right? So I feel I could have saved his life, and he would be not such a hard angry, uptight old man, and have good skin, and I could now have a dad, who got along with me, and we could have finally been close. You see, he was always a grump. And even talking a lot upset him. He was a man of very few words. And now I see people on this site with the same ACD condition, and eczema, which is caused by ACD in my opinion. But anyways, I see them all over the allergy and dermatitis forums, and they think because they have eczema, they can't have something else. Actually if you believe you have eczema, it is very hard to except that you are allergic to synthetics. After all, this is a synthetic world. And when a doctor says you have eczema and that is all that is wrong with your skin. You are not going to believe some chump on the internet who never even went to college and is not a doctor. Right? So how can I save the world from this hidden disease? Every doctor I talk to or people in the medical field have such faith in the system, they think Doctors would have found this out already if that was the case. Or, who is this guy with no degree to tell me, he is some genius who has this all figured out, when I went to college. I learned what there is know to man already! He is a fool. That must be what they think for that is what I would think.
