sun allergy? red bumps only around lip area, how do i solve?

by wordlove, Jun 13, 2007 12:00AM
when i go on vacations and stuff with my family, when i look at the sun, or go swimming in the hot weather, the next day, the morning i get small red bumps right above my lips and around my lip area, really itches, and i don't know if this is PMLE, but even though i get exposed to the sun for like 7-8 hours only on my body, i don't get any bumps, only the face, so i tend to wear a hat, but i want to tan my face, so what is the problem, and how do i solve this? thannk you!

I get bumps around my mouth and sometimes around my face when I get nervous or flush.  I talked to my allergist and he says it is a type of hives.  They usually disappear in under a day so I just ignore them.  I think you can try a OTC antihistamine. My fav is generic clariton.
