swollen itching neck spot

Hi, I've been having this reaction for more than a year, I thought it was stress or it's stress, sometimes I get these itchy spots on the sides or back of my neck they feel like the same experience when  you get bitten by a Flea, most of the time they appear when I'm at work, today I was cleaning with 409 and began feeling that itch, don't know if it's related.

There's also times that I get next to my nose in a concurrent location a swollen red bump about one inch large, it isn't rounded but goes down in diameter, doesn't itch but it gets very red, after 1hr or less it goes down, all of these symptoms happen randomly, the neck itches around 2 times per week and the face redness maybe every 2 or three months. 90% @ work.

never tested for allergies and saw that amazon offers some kits, should i go with those or go to a doctor? I told my doctor about it and he didn't say anything, he just asked me if it hurted when i had my bump on face and I told him no.

I have included a pic of the neck itch

thank you for your fast response, I bought the Zyrtec pills but they don't see to work for me well most of the time these rashes get swollen for about 30 to 40 minutes only and after that I'm back to normal.<<< found also that on wiki when I searched for Hives.

I forgot to mention also that I had Herpes, don't know the type but they found it 4 years ago in a blood test, maybe that's the reason? I also get those kind of rashes on my body occasionaly but not daily.

For a while I thought it was HIV but I haven't had sex with anyone else but my partner and did the test recently.

time to go to the dermatologist... -___-'

Hello,

The rash on the neck looks like hives or contact dermatitis rash.As it happens mostly at work,co it can be due to your skin coming in contact with any of the allergens which are causing such symptoms.I will suggest keeping a diary for yourself and charting the no. of things that you came in contact with while working in office. The next time it appears, pls take some antihistaminics like Claritin or zyrtec. Also apply some calamine lotion and a mild steroid cream on the rash.If the symptoms persist then antihistaminics for a longer time and oral steroids may be needed.

The rash and redness on face can be due to irritant contact dermatitis. Wash your face with a mild cleanser with moisturizing properties like Cetaphil. Pat your face dry. Then apply a good hypoallergenic moisturizer over the area and see if this improves. If the symptoms still persist then you can apply mild steroid like dermacort.

If the irritation persists then pls get it evaluated from a dermatologist.

Hope it helps.Take care and pls do keep me posted in case of any additional doubts.
