titatinium and other metal allergy

I had a back fusion of L4-5 about 5 yrs ago.  Since then I have been unable to wear gold, silver or any other metal jewelry.  My back hurts more and arthritis in my hands.  Has anybody had similar problems?  I never had problems wearing jewelry before surgery.

Hi,
How are you?Titanium allergy is rare but possible. If health problems started after receiving a titanium implant, further evaluation may need to be done to rule out allergy to the substance. Diagnostic tests such as allergy testing may need to be done for proper diagnosis. It is best that you discuss this with your doctor for proper evaluation. Take care and do keep us posted.
