I would think that steroids should take the inflammation away and it should start to get better an eventually go away. See a MD

MEDICAL PROFESSIONAL
Hi, welcome to the forum,  psoriasis is chronic condition and exact cure is unavailable but it can be controlled. Topical therapy for psoriasis includes corticosteroids, tazarotene, anthralin, calcipotriol/calcipotriene and tars; some medicated shampoos are quite effective for treating scalp psoriasis against prescription. UV therapy is also useful.

Besides these treatment options, regular exercises, nutritious diet and relaxation techniques will help to relieve stress and improve health, and contribute a lot in treating psoriasis. I suggest you to consult dermatologist. Take care and regards.
