i woke up three days ago and started itching like crazy on one side. then it just went away. i got up and went in the bathroom and it started again on my stomach. i looked and there was big long welts that were hard. then it disapeared in 20 min. now i have a place by my eye that stays puffy. once and a while during the day i'll have one or two bumps that will pop up and get itchy, big and hard for the same amount of time. today for about an hour i had an painfull lump in my throat. every  morning its the same thing all over again. i dread waking up! i havent eaten anything different, i'm no more stressed than usual, soaps the same, i even tried fasting, not showering, and wearing an old cotton robe for one day. still happening. its always worst in the morning. i cant figure out whats causing this. will it go away eventually? i'm afraid to tell my doctor, he'll just throw drugs at me. any ideas?

Hi there,

I have problems also. In fact just this week. The first thing I do is take benedryl. It will make you tired so maybe just take 1 pill. This will block the antihistimine so you won't be itchy and should take away the welts. I have narrowed it down to the preservatives in meats (frozen meat in lazagna, peperoni, etc). I have had to go to the ER cause my throat was closing up.

Your body takes a while to rid itself of whatever it is allergic to. I have had to be put on steroids (which I hated) so my body could heal. If this continues you should go see your doctor to get something prescribed like a steroid to help you out.

Good luck!
