The amount of IgE directed against specific allergensAllergen Positive reaction to allergen can be measured with a blood test. In general, it is less likely to accurately detect allergies than the skin test, and may give misleadingly falsely positive or false negative results.

There are two types of allergy testing mainly. One is skin ***** tests and second is allergy testing by blood test like RAST.
In skin ***** test a small amount of allergen is introduced in the skin of the forearm and the response of the skin is observed. If there is any redness, then that person is allergic to that allergen.
