Detoxyfying with yoga postures;
Yoga poses to detoxify the body
Marichiyasana 3 (Marichi's Twist) a featured pose in Gaiam Life's 'ConcentratiOm" yoga pose learning and memory game
Detox benefits: Squeezes the abdominal organs and stimulates digestion and elimination.
Sit up tall with your legs straight. Bend your right knee and bring the sole of your right foot to the floor just in front of your right sitting bone. Rest your right hand on the floor behind your back for support.
Reach your left hand up so strongly that your ribcage lifts up. Rotate your torso to the right and bring your left elbow to the outside of your right knee. Stay for 5 deep breaths, gradually and gently using the sensation of your left elbow pressing into to your right leg to encourage your torso to twist further to the right.
Either look behind you, over your right shoulder or straight ahead, depending on what feels best to your neck. Repeat on the other side.
Downward-Facing Dog
Detox benefits: Getting the heart higher than the head reverses the pull of gravity and aids in the circulation of blood and lymph. Also gently tones the abdomen, which stimulates digestion.
Watch our how-to video on Downward-Facing Dog or follow these instructions: Start on your hands and knees with the entire surface of your palms pressing into the floor and your toes tucked under. Slowly lift the knees and straighten the legs. Press equally into the hands and feet and lift your sitting bones up as you move the thighs back. Allow the head to hang. Stay for 5–10 deep breaths.
Legs Up the Wall
Detox benefits: Encourages circulation of blood and lymph from the feet and legs. Bathes the abdomen in fresh blood, stimulating the digestive organs. Soothes the nervous system, allowing your body to shift its attention from warding off stress to daily bodily functions, including detox.
Watch our how-to video on Legs Up the Wall Pose or follow these instructions: Sit in front of a wall with your right hip and shoulder touching the wall. Bend your knees and roll onto your left side, so your feet and seat are touching the wall. Roll onto your back and extend your legs so that they rest on the wall. Either rest your hands on your belly or let your arms lie on the floor, palms up. Stay for at least 10 deep breaths.

Namaste Dear One,
So beautiful, and I needed that right now, I think I will learn it and tweak it to use as one of my prayers before massage.
Thank you so much, I sent you a friend thingy, I hope you will join me in my healing journey too!
Thanks dear and may Mother Father God be with you to open your eyes, and loosen the load, and retain your sweet spirit daily.
Peace & much Love to you!
Lady c
I came across a Bodhisatva vow and thought that a healer for 30 years must be having a Bodhisatva vow to sustain oneself in the work of healing for a long time. I copied the same as follows. I hope you will like it.
The vow of the Bodhisattva
Naturally arising from this universal love and compassion comes the wish to liberate all living beings (who are aspects of our own self) from suffering, and give them lasting freedom and happiness. Our intention in life begins to orientate itself around the vow of the Bodhisattva, to quote the Ninth century Buddhist teacher Shantideva:
“May I be a protector to those without protection,
A leader for those who journey,
And a boat, a bridge, a passage
For those desiring the further shore.
May the pain of every living creature
Be completely cleared away.
May I be the doctor and the medicine
And may I be the nurse
For all sick beings in the world
Until everyone is healed.”

Lady Carolyn,
Namaste, I am indeed thankful to you for your quick response. I will do hydro therapy and light therapy.
I have visited your website and learned that you have gone out for training. I will visit your website off and on , as I am interested in Yoga, acupressure, meditation, Reiki and many other modalities of holistic therapy.Namaste.
Namaste Dalubaba!
I am sorry to not have a definite cure for parasthesia, Having increased circulation would be a benefit for you though, I'm sure... such as deep warm penetrating hydrotherapy. I have extremely powerful jets in my hot tub designed for the feet. It's non obtrusive form of therapy that uses water pressure that will not cause bruising to the skin. I take care of my mom who is 83. Her legs tend to go purple if they don't get enough circulation. The hydrotherapy helps her immensely and I also use blue light! The blue light decreases the swelling and promotes healing, pain relief and stiffness without applying any pressure. I speak a little more about it on my website. Lordandladymassage.com
I hope you get the chance to try the water therapy and if you ever get to Oklahoma, I will be glad to try and help you!
Peace and many blessings to you my friend,
~carolyn
I may add that I am 81. Doctors have diagnosed tight feet as parasthesia. /Parenthesis. Its pathology is not known. So they cannot recommend any treatment. There is no pain. There are sensations as if I have put on tight socks. You might have come accross such patients. Your guidance will help me to treat myself scientifically. thanks.
Your suggestion is very practical.Massaging larger intestine (colon) will be of immediate benefit.I will add this massage in my routine practice.
Since last 7 years, I feel tightness in feet. we have ruled out medical and neurological disorder. Can you suggest a massage for my feet? Thank you.
Stomach / Abdominals?
If this is what you meant...Abdominal massage is great for all the systems of the body... using clockwise strokes and vibration... follow the large intestine, this will help to eliminate waist which helps the digestive system. it's also beneficial to incorporate the inner costal muscles,( muscles between the ribs ).
I have been a massage therapist for over 30 years and that's my opinion.
God Bless,
~carolyn
In shiatsu, they suggest no. of points for finger pressure. In tai chi, they suggest rotational massage. In deer exercise for male, rotation massage with scrotum compression is suggested. In yoga, Nauli kriya is suggested. Shiatsu, deer exercise, spinal massage, rotational abdominal massage-research these words and you will find all types of massage for abdomen.
