It would be nice to have access to natural remedies to replace Big Pharma's murderous Drugs. There is one book called The Herbal Drugstore by Linda B. White M.D. that is pretty good. Are there any other sources?

About the most comprehensive is Prescription for Nutritional Healing and Presciption for Herbal healing, in addition to what's already been mentioned.  Earl Mindell is a bit off kilter for me, but some like him.  But there are a great many books written by the foremost herbalists in the world, and there are a lot of different theories of healing from all over the world.  For an example of this, read a book called Planetary Herbology by Michael Tierra -- it'll give you a good idea of the great variety of theories of herbalism by trying to incorporate European, Chinese and Ayurvedic medicine in to a unified theory, if you will.  On the other hand, pharmaceutical products were invented for a reason -- if herbs worked perfectly well, nobody would have ever looked for something better.  Life is complicated, and individuals don'[t react the same.
