In the natural med biz marigold is usually called calendula.  Same stuff?  Never knew it to affect the eyes.  Pretty amazing.

Marigolds contain lutein and zeaxanthin, two substances that are always recommended for  good eye health. I have been squinting a lot more lately, and had forgotten that I have a bottle of capsules in my cupboard that contain marigold extracts. Thanks for reminding me!  I know I haven't been making the best food choices this past year, and I think my eyesight is suffering for it.  Your post was a wake-up call to me.

I'll let you know if my sight improves.

Dark green vegetables have a lot more lutein than marigolds.  Bilberry is also very good for the eyes.  Among other things.
