Ten realizations about "mainstream medicine"

When it comes to whether mainstream medicine really works, here are ten important "reality check" realizations to keep in mind:

#1) If mainstream medicine really worked, then drug companies wouldn't have to commit scientific fraud to fake their clinical trials, would they?

#2) If mainstream medicine really worked, then doctors, drugs companies and the FDA wouldn't be afraid of competition from nutritional supplements and natural remedies, and they wouldn't keep trying to censor or outlaw those natural remedies.

#3) If mainstream medicine really worked, drug companies would gladly test their drugs side-by-side with nutritional remedies to see what works best. (http://www.naturalnews.com/028473_Z...)

#4) If mainstream medicine really worked, health insurance costs would be extremely low. The only reason health insurance costs so much is because mainstream medicine doesn't cure anybody, and patients stay sick, which costs more money to keep treating!

#5) If mainstream medicine really worked, then all the other countries in the world would be looking at the U.S. health care system and saying, "Wow, we want THAT!"

#6) If mainstream medicine really worked, drug companies would be out of business because virtually everybody would be healthy and therefore not need drugs on an ongoing basis.

#7) If mainstream medicine really worked, doctors would largely put themselves out of business by teaching patients how to take care of their own health.

#8) If mainstream medicine really worked, drug companies like Johnson & Johnson wouldn't have to pay kickbacks (bribes) to nursing homes to entice them to push more of their drugs onto helpless senior citizens.

#9) If mainstream medicine really worked, the treatment of teenagers with chemotherapy wouldn't have to be enforced by court order with the threat of arrest and imprisonment of the parents (as happens in the U.S. today). (http://www.naturalnews.com/Abraham_...)

#10) If mainstream medicine really worked, drug companies wouldn't need to advertise on television to persuade people to take drugs they don't need.

Now, to hear mainstream medicine pushers say it, the only reason Americans are so sick and diseased right now is because -- get this -- not enough people are taking enough medications!

Yes... if they could only convince more parents to drug more babies and toddlers; or if they could get more teens on four, five or six drugs at once; or if they could convince nursing homes to pop a dozen different meds into the mouths of senior citizens then we'd all be healthier!

America, you see, suffers from a medication deficiency. That's the line of mainstream medicine: More meds = less disease. And now, they're trying to convince everyone that even healthy people now need meds (statin drugs) even if they show no symptoms of disease.

So now -- get this -- being healthy is no longer enough to avoid medications! We're ALL supposed to be medicated, whether we're healthy or not.

Mainstream medicine, you see, isn't satisfied to just treat sick people with its medications, radiation machines and surgical procedures: It wants to put all the healthy people on pills, too.

And what will be the result of all this? Imagine in your own mind, for a moment: What will be the result if, say, Americans start taking twice as much medication as they do right now. Will Americans be healthier?

Of course not. They will be more diseased. More medicated and chemically contaminated. The fish downstream will be even more polluted with pharmaceutical runoff and the bio sludge human waste "compost" products now being put on farms will be even more heavily saturated with medication chemicals.

Will that create health for America? Of course not. Mainstream medicine does not work. And pushing mainstream medicine onto more people will only cause more sickness, more suffering and more bankruptcies across American households.

It will, however, accomplish one very important thing: The obscene financial enrichment of a few powerful corporations like Pfizer, Merck, Johnson & Johnson and AstraZeneca.

And that, my friends, is the entire point of mainstream medicine: To mainline the profits for Big Pharma, sideline the legitimate health problems of the American people, and streamline the criminal soaking of the rich, the poor and the recently-insured in order to turn sickness into profit.

That's mainstream medicine for you. I'm sure glad I don't use it.

I am not saying there should be no vaccinations. But some are unnecessary and certainly those that are necessary should be spaced out and no inflicted on infants. A baby who is  breastfed has a great deal of protection in any case.

And as for traditional medicine I see its place in trauma and medical emergencies. If I broke a bone I would not go the alternative medicine route. But after it was set I would use alternative medicine to aid in healing. It is in the area of chronic ailments that alternative medicine shines.

I was told last year that I needed cataract surgery and shouldn't wait. At that point I started treating myself  with eyedrops used in Europe for cataracts. Last week my retinologist told me I no longer needed surgery. My vision improved in one year (exactly) from 20/100 to 20/50 (left eye) to 20/70 to 20/40 (right eye). I will see the retinologist again in six months to plot further improvement. He is the rare doctor who is interested in alternative measures. He does not do cataract surgery and might not be so interested in my treatment if he did. Am I a cynic?

You asked what happened to the swine flu epidemic. I don't know if this has been answered, so I will answer it. That "epidemic" was less virulent than than our ordinary flu and resulted in fewer cases and deaths. I did not get the shot.

Mainstream is good for extending life a little bit longer in cases of extreme sickness.

How in the world can they take a baby that weighs under 10 lbs and give it 6 vaccines and think that nothing will come of it? Say what you will, but autism and these others issues have come up since they have started giving babies all these vaccines. Especially since their immune system is not even fully developed yet.

WHAT WERE THEY THINKING?

My opinion(am I still allowed that around here) is population control.....

they are also reccomending that all parents stagger the vaccinations of their children as a new finding could be that 6 vaccinations together may have a cause finding towards  Autism ...It could be and only could be ,at this stage that 6 is too many when given together and parents should have one done at a time,  ...on the BBC news this morning ..

Despite up to 3587 Miscarriages, CDC Still Lies about H1N1 Vaccine Safety
In a shocking report, the National Coalition of Organized Women (NCOW) presented data in September from two different sources demonstrating that the 2009/10 H1N1 vaccines contributed to as many as 3,587 cases of miscarriage and still deaths. Despite having the data, the CDC has continued to assure pregnant women, a prime target group for the vaccine, and vaccine providers that the vaccine presents no risk for pregnant women.

NCOW used data from their own survey of pregnant women aged 17-45 years and the Vaccine Adverse Event Reporting System (VAERS), including updates through July 11, to estimate the true number of miscarriages and stillbirths following an H1N1 flu vaccination in the U.S. NCOW estimated the number of miscarriages and stillbirths due to the H1N1 vaccine during the 2009/10-flu season to be 1,588, but they also noted that the figure was an average and that the number of miscarriages and stillbirths could have been as high as 3,587.

During the Advisory Commission on Childhood Vaccines (ACCV) meeting, Sept 3, 2010, Eileen Dannemann, Director of NCOW, presented the findings for the second time to Dr. Marie McCormick, chair of the Vaccine Risk and Assessment Working Group. Just prior to Dannemann's presentation Dr. McCormick, had pronounced that there were absolutely no H1N1 vaccine-related adverse events in pregnant women in 2009/10, directly contradicting the evidence publicly available.
"This baseless and fallacious assessment by the CDC assessment group has given the green light to the CDC's Advisory Committee on Immunization Practices (ACIP) to continue their recommendation to give the 2010/11 flu shot to all people, including pregnant women," said Dannemann. She also noted that the upcoming 2010/11 flu vaccine contains the same elements that are implicated in the killing of these fetuses, the H1N1 viral component and the neurotoxin mercury (Thimerosal) plus 2 other viral strains.

The following week at the Sept 14th National Vaccine Advisory Committee (NVAC) meeting Dr. McCormick, pronounced, once again, that there were no adverse events in pregnant women - despite having been informed on two previous occasions of the VAERS data. At the conclusion of the NVAC meeting, Dannemann submitted the data for the 3rd time during public comment and asked "Why hasn't Dr. McCormick looked in the VAERS data base?" Dannemann’s answer: "She looked where she knew she would not find".

The NCOW report states: "It must be argued that the CDC was grossly negligent to fail to inform their vaccine providers of the incoming VAERS data, while providers blindly followed the CDC "standard of care" guidelines to vaccinate every pregnant woman in 2009/10. Furthermore, in the face of these findings and the purposeful withholding of these findings by CDC's Dr. Marie McCormick and her vaccine risk assessment group, for the CDC's Advisory Committee on Immunization Practices (ACIP) to recommend another iteration of the same vaccine to pregnant women in 2010/11 may be argued as more than gross negligence -but rather- an act of willful misconduct."

In addition to roundly condemning Dr. McCormick and the CDC, NCOW strongly recommended that the CDC withdraw their continued recommendation to pregnant women, noting that "in light of the overwhelming adverse events reported, we emphasize that inoculating pregnant women with another untested vaccine containing a combination of components found in the offending 2009 H1N1 vaccine is insupportable."

Instead, NCOW recommends that the CDC adheres strictly to the FDA/manufacturers warning on the insert package which states that the flu shot not be given to pregnant women unless clearly needed. NCOW also called on the CDC to "advise all Ob/Gyns, vaccine providers and the public this year, of last season's VAERS reports on H1N1 vaccine-related fetal deaths".

How has the Wall St. Journal held up since Murdoch bought it?  Used to be a great paper, hope it still is.  Bloomberg is very good, too.  I didn't mean only the Post and Times.  LA Times used to be good, Des Moines Register, lots of good ones.  I used to watch CNBC but they seem to have dropped their coverage for shows on rich people and successful criminals.  Takes great endurance to watch Bloomberg, pretty dull stuff, but accurate.

Yes, you can refuse vaccinations, but it takes some doing.  The owner of one of the health food stores I managed never immunized her daughter.  Now, that was at least 20 years ago, but still.  Christian Scientists can refuse.  But there are costs -- if your child gets sick and dies of something a vaccination would have prevented, you could get charged with child abuse or neglect.  I think one has to pick one's spots -- I think I'd get the polio, smallpox, and some others, but definitely not a flu vaccine.  Hard to choose, though.  And you know, don't blame the media for everything.   If you want to know something you can find out, and NPR covers this stuff.  I know the conservatives out there won't like this, but the NY Times and Washington Post cover this stuff all the time because they still have the bureaus to do it.  Just the other day the Post had an article about H1N1 and where it's still having outbreaks.  If you get your news from TV or the web, well, forget it, that's just entertainment now, with some exceptions.  You have to learn to read between the lines, I guess.  And if you watch Fox, they're just making it up, and if you watch MSNBC, they're just commenting on Fox making it up.  Not much content.

SIXTY-FOUR??!!!

That is an all out assault on their little systems.

They use that phrase "ignorant adults" thinking people will cave in, so they won't be labeled in that group.  That is how the government gets to people, through their emotions. I say don't think with your heart and feelings, think with your head(truth).

Does anyone know if there is a way to "refuse" these vaccinations without going to jail?

As you know, parents are resisting vaccinations and traditional medicine is up in arms. "The parents are ignorant," etc. Well, they aren't. The people bucking the system are the educated elite. They know that the infant is inflicted in the first year of its life with 64 (yes, SIXTY-FOUR) vaccines. They there are 64 is not obvious because the shots are multiples. Now 64 is a hell of an assault on a developing infant. He is actually being given 64 mini-illnesses. What does that do to his immune system?

Mainstream medicine is good at treating the symptoms. Many mainstream medications come from natural source eg opiates, Taxol etc.

Now, don't get me wrong here. I am NOT saying DON'T use mainstream healthcare. So, no comments to that end.

If there are, they will probably be ignored.  :>)
