tonsills

I just started taking 180mg of 80% carvacrol oil of oregano. I have one swollen tonsil, sinus infection, and lungs are full of the yellow stuff too.

Don't want to eat sucrets or anything...makes my tea taste funny.
Which teas are most helpful for all of the above problems?

I have been doing the nasal rinses, but it builds up faster than I can blink.
Just bought "breathe easy " essential oil, and hoping it will help.
Someone mentioned gargling with lemon juice, and yet another said to use a mix with hydrogen peroxide.
Will either one of these work? Which is better?

I used jojoba after my surgery on my head and the scare is hardly noticeable.
I also use coconut oil twice daily doing oil pulling.

I know you're big on coconut oil, and that's fine with me.  But the thing about coconut oil isn't that it's healthy to consume, it's that it's not as unhealthy as was thought.  It's still a high source of saturated fat.  To use it for any health purpose would require the consumption of a lot of it.  Besides, jojoba oil is much better as an antifungal than coconut oil will ever be, and when you read of this use it's generally for external use, not internal.

You can try gargling w/warm salty water to help soothe the sore throat, or any other treatments posters suggest, but I must say that if your symptoms persist or get worse you have got to go see a doctor.
I had a horrible bout of tonsillitis a year ago, I tried everything over the counter that I could get my hands on, but the symptoms worsened to the point where I was unable to get out of bed and take care of myself. The fever and body aches I experienced were very frightening, I reluctantly went to the hospital because I was no longer able to function normally.
I was given a prescription for amoxicillin (antibiotic), within 3 days I felt  much better and was finally pain free. If you get a prescription, take the full amount.
Do yourself a favor, get checked out w/ a dr. because tonsillitis is nothing to fool around with.

I didn't say it would help a sinus infection! I said help to prevent one.
Pax. sorry but they do have antimicrobials, antifungal and antiparasitic drugs.
everything I stated was to help prevent!! I didn't say cure.
and Coconut oil is rich in lauric acid, which is known for being antiviral, antibacterial and antifungal.

Just to say, no amount of coconut oil that's safe to consume will do anything for a sinus infection, nor is there very much that's effective equally against viral, bacterial and fungal infections.  Usually there's one or two strong uses, but not all three.  Nor does anything usually have to be done about a sinus infection -- generally they go away by themselves, which is why recent guidelines caution doctors about their proclivity to prescribe antibiotics for them willy nilly.  Garlic is one of the few substances good against both fungal and bacterial infections, but again, not against viruses.  In fact, few things medication or plant are effective against viruses, but there are more plants than medications.  But they don't generally get rid of viruses, they just temper them.  Omega 3 will do nothing for nasal congestion, which isn't ordinary inflammation but more specifically you need antihistamines -- and there are several good plant remedies that are specific antihistamines.  It's best to use the best most targeted options that you can take often enough in enough quantity that will get where you want it to go to make an impact.  Just because a food contains something that may have some medicinal effect doesn't mean it's practical to use it for anything that needs immediate attention.

As Pax. said see your doctor first!!
Nasal congestion is more often due to swelling of the nasal tissues, caused by inflamed blood vessels. A sinus infection is caused by bacteria, virus, mold or fungus! When you see your doctor have him/her check to see if it's a fungal infection! To help prevent a sinus infection consume Coconut oil,
It's high in lauric acid, that's known for being antiviral, antibacterial and antifungal. You should also take a god quality omega 3 supplement, that's
anti inflammatory.

You need to see a doctor pronto.  If you have tonsillitis, there's nothing in the herbal medicine chest that's likely to be strong enough to help you and this is a serious condition.  You'd probably need antibiotics.  The rest suggests it's a more benign illness, but you must rule out tonsillitis first.  Now, you say you have a sinus infection -- again, has a doctor diagnosed this?  You can have swollen sinuses and a bad virus without it being a sinus infection.  These can be treated naturally, but not most likely with oregano oil, which is strongest as an anti-fungal, not an anti-bacterial, and isn't an anti-viral at all.  The first step in any treatment is to get a diagnosis from a doctor, and then you can plan what to do but only if you know what herbs are for what (examples of anti-bacterials, for example, are goldenseal, myrrh, colloidal silver, though it has toxicity, garlic; examples of anti-virals are olive leaf and elderberry.  Right now you're treating a fungal infection mostly, and you don't have one.
