Based on my experience of looking after my grandmother for 6 months befor (very sadly) she went into a care home i would suggest to keep things simple as it will be a very confusing time for her from now on. Really simple things like just going to the local shop (for erercise) and listening to music (my grandma liked sinatra) but if your wife likes classical that would be great as it stimulates the mind. After she went into the home (some 16 years ago now) she used to take part in pottery class. She also used to go into the kitchen and do the staffs washing up ALL the time which kept her busy and the staff were very nice there. I still have the beautiful robin she made on my shelf. She passed away a 14 years ago but she was my rock and i loved spending time with her. Reading was very difficult for her, she would get lost and carry on with something else instead. I don't know if you have any help at all, or if you need it yet at this early stage but i would suggest you look into getting some support for yourself if you havn't already. If you want to ask me anything i'm more than happy to reply
