ZYPREXA 5 MG

The doctor just started my Mom on Zyprexa 5 MG today, she has Alzheimers and is taking Tradazone and Buspirone . An hour after taking the Zyprexa she was confused and thought my nephew was her child.She is 80 and lives alone,My sister her main caregiver lives next door and takes care of her meds and food, We are afraid she will not sleep with this new med.and wander outside.any thoughts from anyone..Thanks

Same results with my grandma...Except they tried to medicate her with ativan as well, and she turned into a mean energizer bunny! We thought it was just the ativan...But now are wondering...

i just put my 88 year old mom on 5 mg zyprexa. She completely reverted to being childlike and got much worse, confused, delusional. She was mid stage, but aggressive and agitated, but now she is much worse. I asked the doctor and he said to give her MORE. I am taking her off of it.
