He Won't See A Doctor. :/

I am asking about this on behalf of some-one who wants to remain anonymous. But really needs help. I'll refer to him as A.

A noticed a lump just around his spinal end. You can't see the lump but when you press it you can feel it, and it's hard like a marble and probably the size of a large marble. A said it's itchy, but it's not at all painful. A said they had some black color in their stool, but it varies between normal and black. There has been no bleeding that A knows of though.

A refuses time and time again to see a doctor as they don't like to be touched in that area. Also A likes to keep their 'pride'

A sits around a lot all day and is often on their PS3 most of the day, although A stretches out a lot to avoid staying in the same position too long.

A said the lump has come on suddenly and is a little concerned.

I have been trying to get A to go to the doctors but they won't. :(
A is convinced it's a bite, but there is no sign of any breaks in the skin from it and no surface lump - it's under the skin.

PLEASE PLEASE HELP !

I'm very worried about them, seeing as they won't see the doctor.

Late to this post.  Hope action as been taken by now.  I will only add that A needs to get over any shyness and let a doctor evaluate this lump.  It doesnt sound as tho' it is in the anus...but directly above, so who knows what it could be?

The dark stools also might be unrelated, caused by diet, or blood somewhere in intestinal tract.

I am an anal cancer survivor (stage IIIb) and will be happy to answer any questions you have from my perspective.  You posted here, so I am responding although as I said it may not be a colo/rectal issue.

Best wishes...

Tell A that doctors see this kinda stuff all the time. They won't even remember A's name when they leave.
Tell A to not let their pride get them killed.

Tell A to get his A into a doctor, ASAP. It might be nothing at all. It good be a cyst on the end of his tail bone It could be a lymph node. Black in his stools would most likely be from further up in his digestive track. In anycase it could be any thing best to have a doctor sort it out.
