Please help me!

Back in October I was getting unexplained chest and arm pains, which I asked about in a post on the heart disease forum, as I thought it might be that. I had been experiencing variations of such pains since late 2007. ECG tests revealed my heart to be perfectly fine, but the arm and chest pains (mainly burning on my left side) have subsided a little, but are still there.
2 weeks ago, I started to experience problems emptying my bowels - very small stool, no blood but difficulty going and my anus feeling 'lumpy'. I had this same problem in June 2008, was diagnosed with haemhorroids, and given a cream which seemed to help. But my anus has felt quite itchy ever since and is now feeling itchier than ever. I can feel  lumps around and just inside my anus as well, as I did when diagnosed with haemhorroids.

A week ago, I started to experience a dull ache in my left testicle. I had this before too, very briefly in Feb 09, but it soon went away, and I thought no more about it. This time, though,  I have had occasional burning pain when urinating and immediately after masturbation, and I seem to be urinating far more than usual.

Then, 2 days ago, I saw a massive bruise on my left pelvis. I assumed I must've knocked it, but I didn't really remember, and it wasn't too painful, only when I pressed on it. It was long, red, and surrounded by yellow, and swollen. I'm really panicking now as I have just discovered that this is where the inguinal lymph node is.

The swelling seems to have gone down now - there is a long red blotch and the yellow surround has faded.

But I'm scared stiff I have anal cancer that has spread around my body. I was worried about anal cancer when I was diagnosed with haemhorroids, simply because in February 2007, I had unprotected anal fingering from a female sexual partner I had only just met.
It was a drunken one-night stand, and I had all the STD tests a few months later which were clear. But I didn't test for HPV because I had never heard of it until I started getting the anal problems in Jne 08.
Could 2 years 10 months be long enough for HPV to become anal cancer and metarstasize to other parts of my body? I'm really scared. I'm under the doctor now, but she is waiting for the results of a chest x-ray I had on Nov 13th when the chest and arm pains were still my major problem. Now everything seems to be moving so fast I don't know what to think. Please can anyone help me before I am next due to see the doctor?

Just noticed you addressed your question to MatthewStreet's 'please help' post from last November.  Don't believe he has been active in this forum since that time.

For a response from the community you may want to begin again by placing your question in  after clicking 'post a question'.  Everyone will see it there as a relatively new question.

From what I read it will be difficult for us to do more than recommend you see a doctor.

Whew!  You are overwhelmed.  A condition I can relate to.
Re: the anal cancer fear.  Like esiple I have had anal cancer caused by the HPV virus.
Unfortunately the doctor who did a colonoscopy a year before it had reached stage 3III did not uncover it, so I must tell you that if you have one, make sure doctor understands your fear of anal cancer.  As my surgeon told me diagnosis depends on doc doing the test.  Have read there is a type of pap smear for anal cancer, but ask doctor about it.
Anal cancer is rare and apparently the medical community is just catching up with it and virus that causes it...HPV.  There are age boundaries for getting the vacination....but I believe everyone should get it.
If you should be positive, know that chemo and radiation will kill cells: it is highly treatable, even at a late stage like mine.
Best wishes, try to stay calm, focus on the main thing scaring you.  It sounds like anal cancer may be it.

There are so many minor things out there I think jumping to cancer right away is too extreme. It seems when we (humans) have a problem, we focus on it so much that we actually end up believing what we have is true.  Speak to your doctor and see what he or she says. I have seen this happen many times with people getting completely worked up about a problem that does not actually exist.  Some symptoms, but they truly had nothing to do with what they thought they had. (I was one of those people)  Stay calm and just speak to your Doctor. Id bet you are fine and are worked up for nothing.  =)

I was diagnosed with Squamous cell carcinoma, which is anal cancer back in May 09, Had the mass removed in Aug and have been undergoing chemo and radiation for it. My best advice you is to go and get a Colonoscopy as soon as possible. This will tell the doctors whether or not you have anal cancer or just hemorrhoids.
