Hi, i suffer with health anxiety so find it hard to stop worrying over things. A few weeks back i started to worry about anal cancer, only because i have an enlarged papilla for 8 years and just started to worry over it so i was checking,
I checked a little further inside this time and felt what i thought was a lump, my first reaction was that it was just a vein because i could smooth it out or squidge it flat, anyway, i kept poking around at it and i got a bit of blood and the thing went flat, all you can feel now is the skin is a bit wrinkly where the thing was, so i am thinking i broke a little vein or something.
I was still worried so my doc did a finger exam and said nothing there to worry about, but he sent me for hospital exam to put my mind at rest. I went for the exan yesterday and the surgeon only did a finger exam too and said fine. So i asked if he could look up there, so he used the anoscope if that's the correct term. He first used a small one to look lower down, then a longer one to look further in, he said he can't see anything to worry about, just some little piles but nothing for him to be concerned about. I was hoping he would see where i had damaged but he obviously didn't, do i need to keep worrying???
