My husband recently had a stomach "infection" and associated headache. He was treated with antibiotics for the stomach and it settled down. However, his headache persisted and became severe. As he has migraines, it was assumed to be one such episode and prescribed painkillers. Two days ago, his left eye drooped. On visit to the ophthalmologist yesterday, he ordered an MRI of the brain which revealed a lesion measurring 5 x 4 mm in the exit zone of the 3rd ocularMelanoma of the eye Ocular lubricant TonometrynerveNerve biopsy Nerve conduction velocity. Question has been raised whether it is a partially thrombosed aneurysm or a granulomaChalazion Granuloma, fungal (majocchi's) Subacute thyroiditis. What does this mean? How do I proceed? Any advice and help will be appreciated, thanks.
Hi - I'm sorry to hear about your husband. Typically, if it is thought to be an aneurysm you would want to be referred to a neurosurgeon and have a CTA done. Depends on what that doctors protocol is. At the least he needs to be seen by a specialist and have a plan in place. Its been some time since your post - Has your husband been seen by anyone else yet? I wish you both the best during this time.
